The Word of the Director

On January 1st 2020, the Joint Research Unit GMPA has been merged with the Joint Research Unit GENIAL to create the SayFood Joint Research Unit (Paris-Saclay Food and Bioproduct Engineering). The SayFood web site will be available soon.

Founded in 1988 on the campus of Thiverval-Grignon, the joint research unit for Microbiology and Food Process Engineering is a multidisciplinary group with a permanent staff of some 60 members (molecular biology, microbiology and microbial engineering, chemical engineering, physics and physical chemistry, sensory analysis, mathematical and cognitive sciences). This group includes employees from INRA and from AgroParisTech and has a dual mission of research and teaching in the field of process engineering of agricultural, food and biological products. This website will allow you to discover the research unit through its activities, the men and women who make it happen, its main experimental tools and some results that highlight our receptivity to social and economic partners.
